Hi everyone,

I have NO idea if anyone has posted this solution (haven't read all the posts) - I accidentally managed to fully deplete my 5 month old 32GB iPod touch's battery and couldn't even manage to reset it using the home and on/off button method (yes - I even tried holding both of them in simultaneously for over 5 minutes....), it refused to charge and didn't even display the little red battery screen (Needless to say my pc/iTunes didn't manage to pick the device up either). After a good 5 hours of freaking and changing it between a wall and pc USB charger to no avail, I decided to connect it to my car's iPod dock/charging adapter. To my absolute surprise this worked like a charm and after roughly 2 minutes I managed to reset it and get the little red battery screen. Left it in the car for about 10 minutes before disconnecting the adapter and reconnecting the iPod to my pc USB charger. It charged perfectly and switched on/off without any hassles. I really hope this helps those of you who's iPods still aren't working/resetting.

I have an original First Gen IPOD mini and it has been great. It sits in the IHOME contantly and Ive had no problems until I recently unplugged the IHOME for a few weeks. Now my IPOD will not do anything. I did replace the battery a few years ago....any suggestions? Get a new battery? It's dead?

I have a 80 gb classic gen 5 ipod. I have had it for about two years, and the problem is the battery will not fully charge. I plugged it into the computer for a night, check it in the morning and i had one bar, so i tried the wall charger and left it for the night, and the same thing happened it will only charged upto one bar. so i let it drain down until it shut off and pluged it in and still it will only recharge upto one bar. please help dont know what to do?
