CES 2006: iRiver — nothing new here
With no interesting new products to show, the U10 was the center of attention. They’re about to retire the H10 series and base their new line of offerings on the U10’s design. There was talk about large screens, 1.8-inch hard drives and PlaysForSure support for these upcoming products. Engadget ”>has shot a video with this stuff.
Also: the DAPreview folks spotted a mysterious portable media center, which we can only judge by its appearance since we don’t know a single thing about its features. (Judgement: it looks lame.)
UPDATE: Here’s some info about the mysterious PMC: it’ll run on Microsoft’s Portable Media Center software, and will be able to play all mainstream video formats (WMV9, MPEG-4, DivX, Xvid).
