No iPod Video. No wait, scratch that.

"One More Thing Event" - new iPod posterLuckily, we’ll know what’s true shortly. ThinkSecret now says that we’re going to see video iPods today, after all, essentially confirming what AppleInsider’s been reporting all along (and proving my prediction wrong—thanks!). They’ll come in 30/60GB versions and two colors (black/white probably), costing $299/$399 respectively. Those 40/80GB non-video iPod rumors? Scratch ‘em. What about video content? Music videos, video podcasts and TV broadcasting (and maybe a close partnership with the ever-great BBC in that area) will probably the main focus, leaving movies out for now (in other words: no iTunes Movie Store for you). There’s also talks about a possible software release from Apple that allows users to easily import (non-copyrighted!) video to their computers.

Update: In the picture you see a poster of the new iPod, snatched by the iLounge guys. Notice the larger display, and the headphone jack being moved to the top-right side of the device (from the top-center).
