Briefly: Light Scribe remarks, iAudio X5 60GB?, Nano quarter sales estimates, Simaudio amplifier, Permission podcast, Xbox 360 & iPod connection
- A few remarks on Light Scribe (only burns grayscale, needs special Lighscribe discs that cost ~40 cents more than regular ones, takes a while to burn that image; 30 minutes in Daniel’s case—LG’s latest DVD burner comes with Light Scribe technology)
- iAudio X5 60gb now available..? (not listed on iAudio’s website, but appeared on eBay by a reputable seller; someone’s already bought it so we should know soon)
- Apple may sell 10 million iPod nanos this quarter (in contrast to 6M last quarter)
- Simaudio Moon Rock Power Amplifier (this amp is “really good for the money”; how much does it cost? a mere $37K/pair—sorry, I can’t resist posting about these every now and then)
- Permission Podcast Previews New Music (weekly podcast featuring new music releases; all possible thanks to their “aggressive rights-clearing effort”; episodes at 128kbps, last an hour, and are about 50-60MB in size—I’ll make sure to chech this one out)
- Microsoft demos Xbox 360-to-iPod connection, notes limits (you can connect it with a standard Apple USB cable to listen to the iPod’s MP3/WAV songs; you can’t store anything on the Xbox’s hard drive though; same applies for other digital music players with a USB connection)
