Apple’s special event: “One more thing…”
Analysts and media members are handed invitations by Apple for a special event to be held next Wednesday, October 12th (10AM PST, California Theater, San Jose), just a month after the other special event that saw the release of the iPod nano. The invitation simply reads: “One more thing…” (see attached picture, courtesy of Engadget), which is the same phrase Steve Jobs uses at the end of his keynote addresses when he’s about to present a new product (spreading goosebumps among the audience).
According to AppleInsider, a video iPod is in production as we speak and it’s not unlikely to see it presented in next week’s event. The video iPod is described as being similar to the 60GB iPod (several millimeters thinner), sports a smaller click-wheel (a la iPod nano), has a larger, higher-resolution color display. In the same time, the iTMS is expected to get a major update (tons of music videos, other short video content).
