iAudio 5 review
Cowon’s latest flash-based offering comes in 512MB/1GB/2GB versions, is noted for its good audio output (stock buds create the impression of anemic bass though) but the difficult-to-use buttons kinda break the nice image. Specs/features:
- supports MP3, WAV, WMA, ASF and OGG
- weighs 1.6oz
- monochrome LCD
- runs on a single AAA battery, expected to go for about 20 hours
- FM tuner, voice & line-in recording—all executed flawlessly according to the review
- 5-band EQ, 5 presets
It’s available for $279, which is partially justifiable considering it’s a 2GB flash memory chip we’re talking about here, but still, pricey.
